چکیده

We report measurements of the frequency-dependent dielectric constant of UO, from 4.2 K to above the phase transition at 30 K. The static dielectric constant of 23.6 at 4.2 K is comparable with accepted values at higher temperatures: it is essentially identical in both phases. The effects of undergoing the transition on the dielectric constant are marginal (about 1 I%) and take place in the temperature range 29 K to 37 K. The displacement of the oxygen sublattice, which occurs at the Ntel point, should produce only a 0.05% change on the dielectric constant and of the opposite sense to that measured. Hence the structural changes at the transition are not the primary source of the observed small difference between the dielectric constant in the two phases which probably accrues from the influence of the displacements on a defect-related contribution.

Electrical and Mechanical Performance of Hybrid and Non-hybrid Composites

This paper investigated the moisture absorption, mechanical behavior and the dielectric performance of hybrid and non-hybrid polymeric composites. Hand lay-up technique was used for processing carbon; glass reinforced polyester resin composites (non-hybrid) and carbon-glass/polyester hybrid composites with various fiber configurations. The maximum resistance of water absorption was obtained for...

Studying the Effects of Nano Sintering Additives on Microstructure and Electrical Properties of Potassium-Sodium Niobate Piezoceramics

In this paper, lead free (K0.48,Na0.52)NbO3 (KNN(48-52)) piezoelectric ceramics were made by conventional solid state sintering process. Additives of nano ZnO (n-ZnO), nano CuO (n-CuO) and nano SnO2 (n-SnO2) were used in order to decrease the sintering temperature, as well as modifying the dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric propert...

Aggregation of an anionic azo dye with conventional cationic surfactants in premicellar region: A conductometric study

The interaction of Congo Red CR with a series of Alkyltrimethylamoniumbromide CnTAB, N-hexadecylpyridinium bromide CPB and N-hexadecylpyridinium CPC were investigated using conductometry technique. It was observed that the formation of dye-surfactant ion pairs takes place at surfactant concentration far below the critical micelle concentration of the individual surfactants. Aggregation was refl...

Using A Range of PVB Spinning Solution to Acquire Diverse Morphology for Electrospun Nanofibres

Morphological changes in Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) electrospun nanofibres can be acquired by preparation of PVB spinning solution in different solvents.  Accordingly, three solvents, including ethyl alcohol, n-butanol and isopropanol, with diverse physical properties (e.g. boiling point, density, dipole moment and dielectric constant) were used to prepare PolyVinyl Butyral (PVB) spin...
